Bruce R. Steinfeld, a Fellow of the American
Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and formerly a shareholder with the Atlanta
law firm of Alembik, Fine & Callner, P.A., practices exclusively in
the area of family law, in Georgia. He received his J.D. degree from Emory
University School of Law in 1988, earning an American Jurisprudence
award in his Jurisprudence class and serving as an editor of the
Journal of International Dispute Resolution. His Bachelor of Arts
degree (in literature and philosophy) and Master of Arts degree (in
philosophy) were earned from Binghamton University in New York, gaining
faculty approval of his masters' thesis, The End of Autonomy: A Kantian
Interpretation and Utilitarian Response to Rawlsian Justice. He began
his legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Dorothy A. Robinson, Cobb
County Superior Court. A frequent lecturer on various family-law related
topics at continuing legal education seminars, Bruce serves on the Board
of Directors of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association
(having served as Editor-in-Chief of the Section's monthly newsletter,
The Family Lawyer), as well as on the State Bar of Georgia's Family
Law Study Committee and the Atlanta Bar Association's Civil Rules
Committee for it Family Law Section. He is also a member of a variety of
civic and professional organizations including the State Bar of Georgia
and the American Bar Association (participating in the family law sections
of both). A graduate of the acclaimed National Institute of Trial Advocacy
and a sought after Guardian ad Litem, he regularly coaches youth baseball,
soccer, and basketball teams. He is licensed to practice in all Georgia
Courts and the United States Supreme Court.

Shayna M. Steinfeld practices
exclusively in the areas of bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and
creditors' rights in Georgia and serves as a Special Assistant
Administrative Law Judge for Georgia's Office of State Administrative
Hearings. She was associated for seven years with the Atlanta law firm of
Macey, Wilensky, Cohen, Wittner & Kessler, LLP and is a past-president
of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. She currently serves on the
boards of directors of the Sole Practitioner/Small Firm Section (as
Chair-Elect) and the Bankruptcy Section (as a Member at Large) of the
Atlanta Bar Association and for the National Conference of Women Bar
Associations. She is the President of the Consumer Bankruptcy Group, is
Co-President of the Hadassah Attorney's Council, and is a member of the
National Association for Women Business Owners. She is also chairing a
Continuing Legal Education series for the Atlanta Bar Association (Summer
2000) and is serving on the Family Law Study Committee and the Women and
Minorities in the Profession Committee for the State Bar of Georgia. A
graduate of Emory University College (B.A., 1986), Law School (J.D., 1990)
and Business School (M.B.A., 1990), Shayna has been a frequent lecturer on
various bankruptcy-related topics to numerous local and state-wide bar
associations and has authored several articles appearing in the state bar
journal and section newsletters. While in law school, she served as
Managing Editor of the Bankruptcy Developments Journal, received
American Jurisprudence awards in Real Estate Sales and Finance and
Commercial Law: Negotiable Instruments and interned for the Hon. Margaret
H. Murphy, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She
is licensed to appear before Georgia State and Federal Courts and the
United States Supreme Court.
